Advertising and kids'smoking

According to their study and research, the scholars said that one third of kids started smoking due to advertising and promotion. Therefore, If the advertising and promotion can be banned, one third of kids can be saved from smoking.


while it is very difficult to say the kids to understand that cigarettes and smoke are not good, not to smoke and try it, it damages their health and it makes them handicapped, advertising and promotion push them to start smoking in very different ways.

" I am not a smoker but I got a packet of cigarette because I am afraid of giving it free of charge. and I have two packets of cigarette which I got free of charge." said a young cartoonist.
" Uncle doesn't smoke, so I refuse to take it even though I am afraid of giving generously for cigarette promotion in a tea shop." said a taxi driver.
 I told a sale girl who made cigarette promotion in a tea shop," Don't promote your cigarettes for kids." said a volunteer thinking that it had better talk than being silent.

In Myanmar, breaking the existing tobacco control law of 2006, advertising and promotion are being made in the form of light boxes or banners in the tea shops , beer stations and betel shops on the sidewalk by some tobacco companies.
